A trip down memory lane - these sorbet treats taste just like strawberry 'Lip-smackers' ... yum!
Super simple and naturally sugar free with a perfect, velvety sorbet texture.
Prep time - 15 min
Freezing time - 6 hours
Ingredients
- ¼ cup pitted dates
- 2 tablespoons boiling water
- 2 tablespoons rice malt syrup
- 2 cups frozen strawberries (store bought - freezer section)
- 1 tablespoon black chia seeds
Cooking Steps
1
In a small, microwave safe bowl, combine the dates and boiling water. Microwave the water and dates for about 30 seconds, on high, to soften the dates.
2
Next combine dates (and liquid) with all the remaining ingredients in a food processor, blend on high until completely smooth.
3
Pour sorbet mixture into ice block containers (a plastic funnel can help with accurate pouring). Freeze popsicles for at least 6 hours.
Tip: Don’t have popsicle containers? No problem, just pour sorbet mix into a 2 cup capacity container with a lid and freeze overnight – lasts in the freezer for a month.
