Ingredients

2 cups rolled oats

1 cup peanut (or almond) butter

½ cup honey or pure maple syrup

125g dark chocolate (melted)

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

pinch of salt

3 tablespoons chia seeds

¼ cup shredded coconut (optional)

Cooking Steps

1

To begin combine; oats, peanut butter, honey, vanilla and salt in a large mixing bowl.

Mix until completley combined.

2

Press the mixture into a medium sized baking dish or pan, (23cm/8inches long).

3

Next, drizzle melted chocolate evenly over the top of slice and spread evenly (see picture on the slide deck above).

4

Finally, chill slice in the fridge for about 1½ hours - until firm.

5

To serve, slice bars into 12 even slices and serve or store in an airtight container in the fridge ... enjoy!

Tip - rolled oats are gluten free, however they can have traces of wheat from farming and processing, so if needed purchase oats specifically labelled gluten free.
