Georgie's Sticky Chicky

Hey guys, check out Georgia's Sticky Chicky - goes great with Kimchi fried Rice.
Prep time - 10 minutes
Cook time - 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 700g chicken breast
- ½ cup cornflour
- 4 tablespoons sesame oil
Sauce Ingredients
- 1½ tablespoons of Gochujang * (available in Asian aisle of supermarkets)
- 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce
- 1½ tablespoons of brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1½ tablespoons of sweet chilli sauce
- ½ cup of water
To garnish: (optional)
- Roasted seaweed sheets (see pic)
- Sesame seeds
- Coriander leaves (cilantro)
- Kewpie Mayonnaise - available in Asian aisle of supermarkets
Cooking Steps

Dice chicken into large chunks.

Coat uncooked chicken in cornflour and set aside

Seperately, combine all sauce ingredients in a medium sized bowl.

Heat oil in large pan or wok and fry chicken until golden brown and crisp.

Add sauce, stir and allow sauce to caramelise by stirring chicken regularly on a high heat for 1 to 2 minutes.

Remove chicken from heat - add garnishes and serve.
Great with Jojo's Kimchi Fried Rice (see other post).
FYI - Nori sheets are great as a garnish - also a healthy light snack - available in Asian aisle of supermarkets.
For a vegetarian version - swap out chicken for firm tofu ... yum!
