Salads & Sides
Recently as a starter to my daughter’s small 21st (due to Covid restrictions) we put together a couple of grazing platters.
It was really fun to create and much cheaper to ‘D.I.Y’ (do it yourself)!
Preparation time – 10 fun & relaxing minutes
Ingredients
- A selection of cold meats from your local delicatessen (at least two), for example, prosciutto and/or salami, thinly sliced
- At least two hard vintage cheeses; such as a Gouda and/or Cheddar (Mersey Valley brand is great)
- At least two soft cheeses, for example Brie or Camembert & a Blue Castello (which is a very mild, softly flavoured blue cheese)
- Quince or fig paste (available in all deli sections of supermarkets)
- Seasonal fruits, for example, grapes, strawberries, fresh figs and/or dried apricots
- 1 cup mixed, pitted olives or any antipasto – (available from the delicatessen, such as stuffed belle peppers)
- 2 large wooden chopping boards
- 1 fresh baguette, sliced and/or 2 variety packs of gourmet crackers (GF option)
Cooking Steps
1
Place all ingredients, tastefully, on wooden chopping boards and serve on a nicely decorated table.
2
To Serve ... simply allow guests to help themselves AND ‘graze’ away!
Fresh flowers from a nearby garden or field are a great added decoration. Candles are another great addition to your 'grazing' table!
