With my son’s wedding just around the corner, the boys spent the day paint balling. They then spent the evening showing off their paint ball wounds/trophies and aggrandising stories with a beer and burger around the fire … memories!!
Ingredients
Hamburger patty ingredients
- 500g beef mince
- 500g pork mince
- 2 x 40g packets powdered cheese sauce mix
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning, (40g pack)
- 2 eggs
Other hamburger ingredients
- 12 hamburger buns
- 12 cheese slices
- 1 cup tomato & onion relish (tap for fullnest recipe)
- 2 cups leafy salad mix
- 4 tomatoes, sliced
Cooking Steps

Place all of the above ingredients in a large bowl and combine thoroughly. Use clean hands to form mince into fist sized meat patties.

Next barbecue or pan fry patties on a medium to high heat for a 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
Tip - I place them on a large, greased oven tray and bake in a preheated, hot oven on grill setting for about 8 minutes each side- this is quicker and easier for me!
Serve burger patties on hamburger buns with salad leaf mix, a slice of cheese a dollop of guacamole or aioli (optional) and tomato & onion relish.
