Prep time - 10 minutes
Cook time - 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 1kg beef, thinly sliced
- 500g button mushrooms, quarted
- 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 large brown oion, cut into thin wedges
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce, GF option
- ½ teaspoon chilli flakes
- 500g sour cream
Serve with
- 2 cups of cooked rice or pasta, your choice
- 2 cups green salad leaves, drizzled with olive oil
Cooking Steps
1
To begin, pour oil onto a large fry pan on a medium heat. Add sliced onion and sauté until soft and slightly transparent. Follow by adding paprika and gently cook for a minute or so (to release the flavour).
2
Next, add beef strips, soy sauce, chilli flakes and garlic. Sauté for a further minute, until beef becomes lightly brown. Next add butter and mushrooms, cook for a further couple of minutes on a medium heat, tossing regularly.
3
Finally add mustard, sour cream and stir until cream and mustard are completely blended to form a sauce.
Bring the sauce to boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occassionally.
Tip: While sauce is simmering, taste for seasoning and add a little more soy sauce, if required, (according to your taste).
Serve immediately with rice OR pasta and a simple salad ... enjoy!
